"Units Under Contract" Sets New Record

Less than 30 days after Units Under Contract surpassed the 7000 level, it has surpassed the 7250 level. As of today, it stands at 7253. It continues to rise at an annualized rate of more than 30%

Inventory is about flat with one month ago, but the fact that an additional 250 units have been “absorbed” into contracts shows that sales continue to do well.

Love your blog. Thanks for being the voice of reason.

I would be interested to know how many of those contingent sales fall out of contract. By that I mean, if the buyer is buying contingent upon selling a current residence, and the current residence doesn’t sell, then nothing happens.

Any idea how often nothing happens?
